Warm "summer" evening, cold Bud Light, and watching a home team win with bestest of friends.

May 28, 2010: Day 148
Came home to my pre-ordered Jack Johnson CD waiting for me in the mailbox. New music, especially Jack, is like Christmas.

May 25, 2010: Day 145
After teaching yoga tonight, one of my weekly students gave me a package of candles as a thoughtful "thank you" for teaching every week. I could not have been more flattered, the gesture itself simply made my day.
Skyping with the birthday boy, Mara Grace, Rubes, Bird, Dave, Cork & O (Ethan was somehow sleeping through the chaos.) Can't believe my little Patrick is three today.
May 24, 2010: Day 144
Back and forth to work, I pass this field next to the house where my friend, Kristen, grew up. Twelve years later I still smile to myself when I see this spot...and keep my eye out for their missing cat, Pumpkin. I know you're still out there somewhere little guy.

May 21, 2010: Day 141
I was sad when my parents recently cut down an overgrown tree in our front yard that my mother and I used to decorate with Christmas lights every December; but they planted this happy little bush in its place in memory of Grandma Smith...then I wasn't so sad anymore.
May 19, 2010: Day 139
Driving home from yoga I saw this sign. Proud to be a New Englander who loves frappes (not milkshakes!)
May 18, 2010: Day 138
Gooooood morning! Can you say bed head? I literally laughed out loud when I saw my hair in the mirror this morning.

May 15, 2010: Day 135
I'm not ashamed to admit that I turned into a little kid the second I stepped foot into Disney World...it truly is a magical place.

May 11, 2010: Day 131
The perfect purple, the beautiful aum, and the soft silk of this lovingly-made scarf make me smile every time I see it.

May 10, 2010: Day 130
I've said it before and I'll say it forever; my nieces and nephews provide me with countless moments of contentment. When I got home tonight I found this photo that my parents had brought from a weekend visit in New York. It would be a huge understatement to say this picture made me giddy and grin from ear-to-ear. I can't stop smiling over these two.

Totally overwhelmed by the love.
A Patron toast to Mr. Simeone. Cheers!
And an impromptu birthday celebration.

and tiny toes in the grass...
I don't think it was a coincidence that the skies looked simply heavenly today.

May 1, 2010: Day 121
Watching Mommy and Ethan giggle together.
A Saturday complete with swinging with Mara Grace and a macaroni and cheese lunch. To top if off, we found the recipe for a perfect Saturday night: popcorn, bubblegum gelato and "Muppets Take Manhattan."

April 30, 2010: Day 120
Welcome to Chicago!
Even though I've never lived here, arriving in Chicago always feels a little bit like coming home.
